Connect people and government
As your City Council representative, I will deliver on the promise of ensuring that the voices of North and Northeast Portlanders are heard and acted upon, while working to create a more livable city for all Portlanders.
Here’s how I will engage voters and build stronger connections to city government:
-
Reinvest in Neighborhood Coalitions and Community Networks
I will strengthen our neighborhood associations and coalitions by ensuring they have the resources they need to connect people with city government. Portland’s model of neighborhood engagement has historically been a key part of our city's democratic process, and we must reinvest in these networks to ensure that all voices are heard. -
Make City Services Easier to Navigate
Many Portlanders don’t know that there’s a 211 number that can help them access city services. I will make this resource a well-known, central part of city government to ensure that residents can easily navigate available services, whether for housing, safety, or public health. -
Ensure City Bureaus Are Accessible
Portland’s city bureaus need to be open and available to serve people in person, on the phone, and online. I will work to make sure that residents can reach the city easily through multiple channels and that services are streamlined to meet the needs of all Portlanders. -
Council Office with an Open Door
I’m committed to more than just an open-door policy. I will hold regular community meetings that are live-streamed and accessible for those who cannot attend in person. Additionally, I will dedicate staff to ensure that constituents can easily communicate with my office and have their concerns addressed in a timely manner.
By working together and ensuring that our government is accessible, transparent, and accountable, we can build a stronger, more connected Portland. Let’s ensure that our city’s future is shaped by the people it serves.
